At Upgiftz we take pride in giving back to other small businesses like ourselves, so most of our products are purchased from small, home based, & non-mainstream vendors. We also purchase wholesale stock and sell the items blank or customize them ourselves. Our "Giftz" are meant to serve as mood boosters, so we price them accordingly so that you can make someone's day without breaking the bank.
ORIGIN STORY
Hi my name is Anais and I am the founder of Upgiftz, a Christian based company started in 2016. I am single mom and wanted a way to be able to make an extra income. So like most, I started thinking of what to do I could possibly do. I knew I couldn't take on another real job because then I'd have to pay extra childcare and already couldn't afford what I did pay, nor could I get overtime hours at work. After all the back and forth, and racking my brain on what to do, I just said "nothing is gonna work" and then I started pouting and feeling sorry for myself.
At that moment I thought all I need is to talk to someone and have them give me a pep talk..... and then an idea blossomed. Why not make a unique gift/item (accompanied with an inspirational quote) that could help bring joy to someone feeling down and out.
Ever since that thought I have worked my way to this point with the help of God. I came about this idea to make money but now I just want to be able to help encourage others through the daily struggles of life. I know how much it truly means to me when family or a friend encourages me through the hard times or that random positive quote refocuses my mindset. Those simple things give me the extra boost needed to keep moving forward and make it through to the next day; and knowing that feeling I thought I would share it with the world.
